Ecological Information

SINCLAIR air conditioners contain fluorinated greenhouse gases (refrigerant) covered by the Kyoto Protocol. Thanks to the utilization of the new environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant in most of the SINCLAIR wall-mounted air conditioners, the need for CO2 emission quotas was reduced by 65 % between 2017 and 2018. We will gradually expand this ecological trend among other categories of our products. With the SINCLAIR mobile air conditioners and dehumidifiers, we have made even more progress in terms of ecology, because they contain the purely natural refrigerant R290 Propane. This type of refrigerant has a GWP of 3.

We think responsibly about our planet, we think about the climate in which our children and next generations will grow.

Possible refrigerant leakage due to improper installation or in case of failure affects climate change. In case of leakage, the refrigerant with a lower global warming potential (GWP) will have a lower impact on global warming than the refrigerant with a higher GWP. SINCLAIR wall air conditioners contain refrigerant with GWP of 675. This means that if 1 kg of this refrigerant leaked into the air, the impact on global warming would be 675 times higher in the 100-year horizon than that of 1 kg of CO2.

Currently, we use the following types of refrigerants for SINCLAIR products:

  • R32 with global warming potential (GWP) of 675
  • R290 (Propane) global warming potential (GWP) of 3
  • R410A with global warming potential (GWP) of 2088
  • R134a with global warming potential (GWP) of 1430
  • R407C with global warming potential (GWP) of 1774
